Songpoem.co.uk – described by, well, me  – as a semi-artificially-intelligent-songwriter-majiggy. It’s a website that will set your lyrics and poems to music. Just input some lyrics, the site will do the rest, and give you instant playback and download of the song. It’s packed with trickery to write new music based on a few parameters you specify. If it sounds impressive, you should hear some of the crap it comes out with. I like to think I modelled the tortured genius, outputting song after song of pure garbage before eventually stumbling across the diamond in the rough. The name songpoem is taken from the old American songpoem tradition – also known as “song sharking”. Studios would charge punters a small fee to set their words to music.
